Not just a birthday, but a farewell

'CHiLL-REX!' (Singapore, Singapore): 'CHiLL-REX!' is the appointed event manager for its Founder & Director-General, Damian Cheong's birthday events this year in 2010.

With a week left before the first event commences on Saturday, the Organising Committee on Friday night has disclosed that the intention of Damian's celebratory events this year was to bid farewell to him leaving the radio industry and to recognise his contributions and works towards radio.

According to the Organising Committee, 'NewsRush!' understands that Damian sent out a notice in early January 2010 stating that he would be officially leaving the radio network on 31 March but it just so happened that his farewell coincides with his birthday on 28 March so they decided to blend everything as a whole.

As such, Damian's primary focus during his events would be in his interest of his farewell and his birthday, secondary - is said to complement his achievement throughout his interest in the radio network.

The first night will see Damian inviting radio veterans and deejay personalities in the local radio and music industries together with his family members. The second night will then see close friends of Damian.

The third and exclusive invite-only event, a karaoke session, will see Damian holding a microphone singing and emceeing for the very last time as a radio deejay with his private guests.

The fourth event and possibly, the finale of Damian as 'DJ Damian', is slated in April 2010 to be held at a hotel, though it is still unconfirmed. - 'NewsRush!'
